Dear Cindy and Ladies of AAVENGE,

I am writing to thank you for all the help you've given our rescue over the last couple of years. As you know, ePITome Dog Rescue started up in March of 2011. AAVENGE was one of the first supporters of our rescue and you have been a continued support to our bull breed rescue efforts. With your generous donations and assistance, we have been able to rescue some dogs who were about to be euthanized and some dogs with medical issues. Your assistance has helped us to help some dogs that we may not otherwise have been able to help. A perfect example is our most recent in-process success story of Sissy and Riley. Sissy and Riley are 11 year old, pit bulls who were surrendered to the local shelter. They arrived at the shelter in a mess, medically, but treatable. However, they were in danger of being euthanized with the ACO giving us only 2 weeks to find a way to get them out and get the money to treat their health issues. I turned to Cindy and AAVENGE for help. AAVENGE made a donation for their care right away, and Cindy networked the urgent need for funds to help Sissy and Riley. Sissy and Riley are now safe in ePITome foster homes and the money was raised to treat them. Thank you all so very much for what you do for the dogs and for helping us save them! You rock!

Dear Cindy, I came to know you and your organization, AAVENGE through a dear friend of mine, Connie Rice. We were trying desperately to help the poor doomed to be killed animals of Upson Animal Control here in Ga. You helped so many by posting, donating and helping with transport. If they could only talk you would be showered with Thank you's, hugs and puppy breath kisses because they received life instead of a death sentence and burned in an incinerator. All those precious lives are the real testimonials for AAVENGE! I cannot ever in a million years thank you for coming to my own rescue's aid so many times. I don't know what we would have done without you. With 60 plus rescue animals in our care and being in a very rural part of Ga. With no animal control or shelters, we stay overwhelmed....we could not help so many without your support. When things get tough and I feel like I just can't continue....you have been there...your donations and emotional support make it possible for us to continue to save lives....We appreciate all you do for not only the pitties but the little mixed up mutts who would have died horrible deaths on the streets or killed and considered yesterday's garbage in the many high kill shelters here in Ga. The animals in our rescue at Girard Lifesaver have been so blessed to have you....We wish you much success in your work helping animals and bringing awareness to others concerning pit bulls and all the other little furkids that do not stand a chance at survival without intervention on their behalf...THANK YOU Cindy for all you do!

Dear Cindy and Ladies of Aavenge,

I want to thank you personally for all you have done, not just for A and S Rescue, but for all the dogs out there needing homes and help. It never ceases to amaze me that you come up with suggestions to help rescues just in time for them to help save a dog before it is to be euthanized. Your postings have made a huge difference for so many dogs! Truly, not only have you helped get the good name for bully breeds out there, but the monetary help you have given has been amazing.

I love my calendars and am very grateful for the help you have given us personally; your last donation will really help with the litter of abused pups and Mom we recently took in. It has been a blessing that I have had the chance to meet you and work with you.

Thank you again from the bottom of my heart!

Sincerely yours,

Silvia Simmons

Fur Angels Animal Sanctuary has been very blessed to have the support of AAVENGE for our pit bull fosters in need. It all started with Chief, the mascot ofAAVENGE. (His story can be read under Chief’s Story). AAVENGE has provided us with the support and assistance with raising the necessary funds needed for his leg surgery and his path of recovery from his wounds. From there, his story inspired the birth of AAVENGE, and Chief was bestowed the honor of becoming the mascot for AAVENGE. We couldn't be even more proud and thrilled for him. Yet, it didn't stop there. Early Spring of 2011, we rescued a litter of 7 pit bull mix puppies from a local shelter scheduled to be put down, only to see them come down with signs of parvo a couple of days later. With 7 puppies, the vet bill was going to be extremely expensive. AAVENGE stepped up by making a donation again, and helped us with our Fanny Mae candy bar fundraiser to help raise funds toward the vet bill. Early August 2011, we were notified there was a pit bull mix puppy, Mandy, at a Chicago Animal Control that was found in a field, after she was intentionally set on fire. We stepped up to take her into our foster program, and AAVENGE did not hesitate to donate money toward her vet bill for her multiple surgeries to repair the damage.  AAVENGE continued to support us and rejoice in her process of recovery. We never had needed to ask for help because AAVENGE has always been so quick to offer support and donation. We're just so grateful that AAVENGE has formed to be a voice for all the pit bulls in need and to fight the battle we all endure to educate people about pit bulls, and to pass tougher Illinois dog fighting laws. Words of thanks does not reflect the deep gratitude we feel for all the support they have given to Fur Angels for our fosters.

Thank you so much! Thank you!

I have known Cindy VanLandegen for 4 years now. She is an amazing woman. She truly cares about all animals and especially dogs. She is extremely knowledgeable about the “bully breeds.” She works tirelessly to crosspost animals in high kill shelters facing euthanasia, helps with transporting animals from kill shelters to receiving rescues and fundraises to help dogs that have been the victims of abuse. Cindy and I drove down to Missouri in May 2008 to rescue a pitbull that had been hit by a car and was suffering for 6 months with no medical treatment. We brought Dolly Diamond back to Illinois into the care of my rescue to have her next surgery. Dolly was adopted by a wonderful woman in Naperville and she is living the life of luxury now. Cindy’s group AAVENGE has made huge strides in changing dog fighting laws and helping to educate the public about the pitbull breed. AAVENGEhas donated to several pitties that my group has rescued and those donations have helped us with their medical bills. Cindy is a true asset to the rescue community and I am very blessed to know her. I wish her and AAVENGE much success in the future.

Sincerely,

Dear Cindy,

Thank you so much for your donations! You and AAVENGE have been wonderful to me in my endeavors to help save and heal the bully dogs I rescue. I cannot thank you enough. Rescuing and re-homing healthy animals is difficult enough. Resucing injured and abused dogs so much harder, emotionally and financially. Oh there is plenty of love but money is never available to help them. Yet, it is impossible to ignore their plight. Both Blue and Babe are fantastic dogs. How could I leave them to die unloved and alone? Both have been badly abused. Both have the biggest hearts and love to give. What a waste it would have been to ignore them. You have been an angel and I could not do this work without people and organizations like you.

Thank you for being there for Blue, Babe and me!
